What to gather
Save these items in one folder.
You may not have all of them. That is okay. Start with what you can find.
1. Your signed paperwork
Look for the contract, proposal, loan or lease agreement, change orders, and warranty information.
2. A short timeline
Write down the installation date, the last time the company replied, what went wrong, and the date you first noticed it.
3. Your system information
Save inverter or battery details, system size, monitoring screenshots, error messages, and any serial numbers you can find.
4. Your bills and payments
Keep recent utility bills, loan or lease statements, payment history, and any records showing expected savings.
5. Your communication record
Save emails, texts, letters, support tickets, and names of the people or companies you contacted.
